Grain-free kibble what's good nowadays?

 For my guys, the EVO has been the only food they get gas on and they eat all foods at the same speed. (Although I agree that eating too quickly can certainly cause gas!)

Lexi and Rosco seem to be doing better than Luna after a day or so more. At this point I may just switch Lu off it and keep Rosco and Lexi on EVO.

It must depend on the individual dog.  I recently switched to EVO and so far have not had any noticeable gas from any of the dogs.  It has only been about 10 days though.  I hope they don't start having gas. Can it take longer than 10 days to start seeing a problem like that?  They have nice firm stools.

There isn't any one food or even TYPE of food taht is perfect for every dog out there.  Some dogs just do better on rice, oatmeal, barley, or even the "evil" corn or wheat. 

Never feel obligated to use a certain type of food because it's the "best".  There's a web site that "Grades" food - a couple actually - and I'm not really hip to their standards.   I don't think a food is necessarily bad because it has corn in it, for instance.  I have a dog that does poorly without corn.  Does he, therefore, eat substandard food?  He eats Eagle Pack right now while I'm reocvering from surgery and can't homecook - it's an excellent prodcut.  When I homecook, his breakfast is non-GMO cornmeal and sweet ptoatoes.

Mosby is on Taste of the Wild. I've noticed that my local store is carrying Before Grain now, which I think is new but I don't really know anything about it.  I think all of the other good ones I know about have been listed already!

agree totally. Lots of people seem to like CORE but I'd need to buy a gas mask and get a pay raise if I were to feed it. Some dogs can't keep weight on or get lethargic without their grains. Lots of dogs do better without grains.
