Has Anyone Tried ...

I think there's a few Holistic feeds free of the pork meal.  I actually like it because it's an easy to digest protein for my poor little parvo-tummy "pup" (she's a year old now and still has a slightly touchy tummy).  It looks like they use it for any feed that needs a boost in protein.  That's better than using soy!  Not sure how that would work for you though since you'd need the higher protein.

I've been very pleased with the Naturals line of Diamond.  Many people don't trust them (and that's fine, different comfort levels for different people), but I remember that Diamond also makes Taste of the Wild, Chicken Soup, and now Canidae.

The price of the Pro Plan kills me...I don't get it...Purina One has almost exactly the same ingredients for a fraction of the price.

I also *really* like Precise. They have their foundation formula, which is a simple, basic, chicken, rice, chicken fat food, and they have an endurance formula, which is similar, but higher fat and protein.

I've noticed with this formula they are doing something similar to Nutro and others. Changing the first ingredient from a meal to a meat and putting the meal further down the list. And, adding oatmeal. Everyone seems to be adding oatmeal. Oatmeal must be the next purple pill.
