Is there still a problem with Chicken Jerky?

Is there still a problem with Chicken Jerky?

My boss's dog has occasional potty issues and he finally narrowed it down to the Chicken Jerky that they purchased at Sam's Club.  All the info and articles I find are about a year old.  Does anyone know if this is still an issue with any/all brands of jerky?

I'd stay away from any of these types of treats that are not manufactured in the US.  It's so easy to dehydrate meat in the oven and it's much cheaper!

I don't use any of the commercial brands, either. I generally do like Brookcove and dehydrate slices of chicken (or turkey breast, or sweet potatoes!) in my wee little toaster oven (so I don't heat up the whole house!)

I don't think my boss would take the time to dehydrate his own chicken, but at least he's learned his lesson with cheap treats.  I already got him to switch her food.  I'm still trying to convince him that the occasional McD's chicken nugget is not really "OK."  She comes to work with him most days (which I love! she makes the crabby customers so much easier to deal with!)  I was just wondering if the stores or companies were still having a problem.  I'll try to convince him to send the rest of the bag back to Sam's or somewhere for testing.

What's wrong with a chicken nugget? It's probably safer than dog treats from China. My dogs prefer bacon cheeseburgers, but chicken nuggets, IMO, are an unhealthy treat. I eat unhealthy treats. I give the dogs one from time to time, too.

That's my "Car training" secret. I've NEVER had a dog get carsick. ALL of my dogs (fosters, too) have associated the car with the drive through, LOL.

Since I've had kids, I've never had a dog dislike the car.  Diving for fries is a very popular pastime.
