Where to buy my first set of weave poles?

Where to buy my first set of weave poles?

I need to get some weave poles, but I;m not sure where to look or what a reasonable price is.  I had DH build me a set, but it's just not working out because they won't stay standing on their own.  I want a set of 12 in the long run, but it looks like they only make sets of 6??

I also need the poles to be moveable so I can tilt them at an angle.  I don't want the stick in the ground type because that will be useless in the winter especially with a small dog like Benny.  He would probably just get lost in the snow...LOL

Anyway, any advice is greatly appreciated!

I'm looking at these.  What do you think?  Good price?  And I'm going to get 2 sets so I'll have 12.

I made a full set (12) of channel weaves that stand on their own and it cost less than $20.  I originally had two rows of 6, but they were a bit of a pain to move to mow the lawn so I sawed them in half and now have 4 rows of 3.  Now they are very easy to move and if I'm just working entries and don't need a full dozen I can have 3 and 3.

The weaves at that link look just like something you could make for 1/4 the price.  I prefer my channel weaves because I like channels for training and there is no base or poles that stick out on the ground that the dog has to step over.

I would not recommend those because those cross bars in the middle will cause your little dog problems.  Because they are smack dab in the middle of a "hop", the dog may land on them and cause a misstep.  This can then cause hesitation in the poles, which can be hard to overcome.

(not only that but you can make those same exact things with stuff from Lowe's or Menard's)  I personally will not buy PVC anything from anyone because I can make it myself for cheaper.

If you really want a good set of weaves, invest in a good set of weaves.

These weaves are a good price for a set of 12.

These folks have a cheap set of channels.

my advice- buy competition quality. You go around buying cheap stuff and it'll just break and you'll end up paying more in the long run. PVC weave poles are NOT good. These are nice:

I think waytoweave is way overpriced. Sure, the price of steel has gone up but damn, you good set for a lower price. I know Linda M gets her sets from Countryside Agility. While it is where I learn, I got some too! AKC regulation 3.5" 12 poles for 190. Go for the narrower base, 160.

    I just bought these:

And I love them!!!! They are easy to drag around the yard, and I love knowing that Luna is learning on the same equipment she will see when she competes. They are really easy to adjust and set up. Nothing I don't like about them!
