My dog was recently diagnosed as having a slightly enlarged heart and a grade 2 heart murmur. A susbsequent EKG was normal and Gracie is in very good health otherwise. The vet assured me that the symptoms she had did not necessarily mean she had anything wrong with her heart and that she may always have been this way. As she does have some potential for problems in the future, I would like to take steps now while she is healthy to keep her that way. Are there any supplements I should be giving her that support cardiac health in dogs? Is there a particular food that I could give her that would help? As I said I am trying to prevent a problem that may not even be there, but if there is something that may help, then why not give it a try?
