Making the Change to Homecooked On My Own
Figured I should start my own thread so as to not take over the other re: homecooked. So I really wanted to do a consultation with one of the experts recommended to me but after much discussion with my DH, it doesn't look like that is going to be an option at this point. Tough times financially...

Where can I find information on agility clubs in Mexico (state of Jalisco) and other types of clubs like obediance/schutzhund? I tried googling but I don't get anything.

RMBs?
Can someone refresh my memory on which bones are OK to feed raw? Are chicken backs and necks OK? What else do folks normally feed for RMBs? I was thinking of giving some to Sammy since if I feed homecooked he doesn't get as much of a chance to exercise those jaw muscles! Not to mention the...

Putting weight on/keeping it on
I know a lot of people has an issue with Lab's - weight. Lab's tend to keep weight and get over weight easy. Sam's the opposite. He's always looking skinny, and no matter what he stays that way. He has access to food 24/7 plus the crazy ammount pf treats I give him. But he looks skinny...

Wet or Dry Food?
Which is better: wet or dry food? Someone told me that I shouldn't give my dog wet food because it's full of water and a waste of money and another person told me that I SHOULD give my dog wet food because dry food is too boring and they might not eat enough to stay healthy. What do you think...

Food for the working puppy
Since I've never owned a little dog before, I'm not sure what to feed my new pup. Lol. She'll be training in Agility, Rally and Go to Ground so she'll be a working dog. Once she's old enough to eat adult food, I plan on putting her on the same diet as Maze so I don't have to buy...

"You're feeding low-quality food..."
I went to the local pet supply store this week to pick up dog food. I grabbed a bag of EP Holistic Anchovy/Sardine/Salmon & Oatmeal and a bag of Fromm 4 Star Duck & Sweet Potato. The EP is costing me $24 for 15lbs and the Fromm is about the same. I brought the bags up to the counter, along with...

Stacking help. =(
Cooper is still very nervous when it comes to stacking. We had our first show and he sat down when the judge tried to see if he was intact, TWICE! D= How embarrassing! He just seems to lose all confidence when I hand stack him, and he doesn't wag his tail ever after I do that. I was thinking that...

Potato Flour vs. Regular Flour
I've been looking for natural dog cookies/treat recipes and have found one that calls for rice or potato flour. Is this a better alternative to regular flour?

Hypoallergenic treats
I just started my dog on Natural Balance allergy formula (potatoe & duck) dog food to see if her diet is the cause of her allergies, so she'll be on this for the next 2 months. The Natural balance treats allergy formula are very hard & my dog isn't crazy aobut them. Does anyone know...

Jerky question
I bought a pack of pork chops and one is too fatty to eat so I want to turn it in to jerky for Maze. Is that possible and how long/how high should I cook it at?

Running next to a bike
How do I train Maze to stay with a bike? She likes to forage ahead and although I like speed, I don't like going THAT fast. Lol. I'm gonna start tomorrow with a shorter leash and her prong and some cookies in my pocket. Just getting her to a slow jog around the block with lots of praise. But...

Fear of water...?
Sam has this fear of water. He doesn't mind bath's but he refuses to go swimming. I think it has to do with the time of year we got him, in the late fall, and we had no place to take him swimming. But now he's getting better with people, and his training has improved(sp?). I want to take...

Need a little advice on the canned food to firm things up :)
Hello guys, I haven't been much around lately, but I have a question and need a little advice. I'm currently feeding my 2 Pommies canned food of the Royal Canin - IVD - Venison and Potato formula mixed 1/2 with the canned Hills Prescription Diet - I/D, which was my Vet's advise for firming...

waiting your turn in class???
I'm about to complete an advanced obedience class with Bugsy and today we had a trial CGC test. We were last to go so I had to sort of appease him for an hour and a half. I had a toy and he found a stick and we went for a walk doing commands along the way but he was pure bonkers by the time we got...

SIMPLE (!!!) Homemade Diet?
Hi all! Our boy Max is almost 3 years old. He's a mostly-Springer-Spaniel-some-Lab who is a little oveweight (69 lbs instead of low 60's), despite regular exercise. Thanks to Mommy! She likes to feed him too much food, which consists of Canidae ALS in the morning, Evanger's canned in the...
