Possible Spider Bite?

    Possible Spider Bite?

Last night around 9pm or so....my husband and I heard our dog (3 year old female boston terrier) yelp from the other room... I didn't think much of it because her nails are long right now and I thought maybe she scratched her face. IT was only one small yelp.....

Then about 5:30am I woke up to hear her vomiting....so I cleaned it up and layed her down to sleep.

It's about 10am now and she is still not acting normal. She has squeeled twice this morning randomly as if something was hurting her on her insides. Her muscles are spazing out- you can see them acting weird under her skin. Her heart is beating strange compared to my other dog. She is eating on her own though. I gave her about a half tablet of a 24mg benedrayl just now so hopefully that will help.

I do not see any strange marks on her skin other than an area on her belly that looks red- but she has skin issues often so it might not be an injection site. Hard to tell.....there is no swelling with is good. But it is obvious that something is wrong with her..she kind of stands around with a blank look on her face.

It's Sunday and I can't take her to the vet...so just wondering how severe this is and if I should take her to the emergency vet or just wait it out and see how she does....

Any advice would be much appreciated! :)

I'd be on the way to the e-vet, now!  If you think that her heart rate is "off" in any way, she needs to be seen asap.

I thouht that too...but..I checked it again and I think its a normal heart rate but  the fluttering of her muscles threw me off.....What would cause muscles to spaz like that? She seems pretty calm and content otherwise.

POISON can make muscles spasm -- could she have gotten into ANYTHING unusual -- medicine (even from your purse), pesticide, anything inside or out.

VET -- **emergency vet** NOW.  this sounds awfully like a poison/drug reaction to me -

There is really nothing she could of gotten into..inside or out. my place is only 750 sq feet and keep everything away from the dogs.

The only possible thing I can think of is that just yesterday I bought a new bag of food. But my other dog is totally fine and was eating it too....

gave her benadryl this morning..and she seems to be better this evening. no more muscle spasms.... i think i will give her more benadryl before bedtime and hopefully tomorrow she will be as good at new!

Why post about this if you're not going to take anyone's advice?!  I would've been at an e-vet as soon as I saw the dog's muscles twitching if not before - I think you're playing with your dog's life here and that's very concerning to me.

Good vibes being sent that your pup is ok in the morning.

I don't know, I'm not a vet but the way you describe those symptoms, those symptoms were pain when Willow had them.  It could be from anything.  There was nothing in your post that made me think allergic reaction to something.  Hope she's feeling better soon for you.
