First off, dogs are color blind.

Actually, they're not.  Dogs have two cones, instead of the three people have.  So they can see colors, but not all of the colors and not as vividly as we do.  This is a good article on it:

I don't think, in regards to this thread, the issue of dogs seeing color really matters.  The point is not to feed the troll.
