My dog had a seizure....Help! Causes of Seizures in dogs?
Causes of Seizures in dogs? What are signs that a seizure has been triggered? Okay the vet can't see her today but has her set up for an appointment. My Terrier mix is a year and a half old. (She is believed to have Jack russell Terrier and Chihuahua in her but we don't know what else.) She is...

Strange thing happened in the night....
Maggie, age 10, woke us up around 3 a.m., panting, pacing, couldn't be still. Every so often her back parts would jerk, then she'd walk more, then jerk. It really scared me. We took her to emerg. vet place, doc gave her a good check up, blood work, etc. Said her temp was up a wee bit, liver enzymes...

Now it's whipworms...poor Agnes
So we had good poop, but the fecal tested positive for whipworms. I guess we'll start treating those and then go from that point forward. Poor little doggy...she's so sweet, she doesn't deserve this. Stoopid previous owners.

Glucosamine/Chondroitin for Fertility?
I have heard that Glucosamine/Chondroitin (and probably MSM) can help to increase a males motility and a females fertility. I have tried to find any articles on this. The source I got the info from was highly reliable, I just can't find any articles to back this up. Anyone know anything about this...

Anyone Have Any Ideas??
I have a 9 month old, female, black lab retriever. At about 9 weeks old I started noticing she would twist her head to the side and act like she was dizzy. These spells would only last 30 seconds at most and then she would return to normal. As she got older the spells got worse and lasted longer in durration...

Kota's not eating
So last night Kota did not eat his dinner. He ate his treat with his pill in it but none of hte kibble. Agnes is H/W positive
That's the really bad news. Her liver level (ALT) is elevated due to the inflammation of the heart due to the H/W. So she is home with Enalapril for the inflammation and some probiotics for the diarrhea. I have milk thistle that I will slowly add to her diet. Her other organs look good. So, one...

Emma cannot catch a break.
I swear, I should have named her "Murphey"..... Today, I had her at work, with me. Took her outside, to potty. She pottied, I was talking on my cell phone. Turned around to look at her, marking up the yard, and blood was dribbling from her. My poor, little girl has a raging UTI! Sooo... send...

Blockage
I am new to this site and am hoping for a quick response. My 4-year-old Labradoodle started his affinity for eating socks with hosiery style, and progressed to trouser socks and now socks that are closer to the weight of men's dress socks. While the lighter weight socks used to "come out"...

Something is up with 'the beast'.... (Bugsy)...update at the end nothing...
In order to see if there is something physical going on we went to the vet and did a huge blood draw to check his thyroid levels and a full panel. We also did a urine test. Waiting on results. I really don't have a good enough grip on this to even say which direction I am looking but having made...

I don't think that my 8 Month old puppy is acting right
Eversince I got my miniature Schnauzer pup back in June, I have noticed that he is quite lethargic, I bought him a few toys but he won't play with them at all. He doesn't seem to eat right because he stays skinny regardless of the fact that he doesn't really do anything except lay around...

Pain or Not Pain?
Ok why are dogs so darn STOIC!!!! I can't help but worry about Max. On one hand she seems fine, but is she? We had a bad stretch about 3 weeks ago, the vet put her on tramadol but after 10 days he wanted her off to see if she needed to go right back on or if she could go for a while with out...

Possible Spider Bite?
Last night around 9pm or so....my husband and I heard our dog (3 year old female boston terrier) yelp from the other room... I didn't think much of it because her nails are long right now and I thought maybe she scratched her face. IT was only one small yelp..... Then about 5:30am I woke up to...

Critter Oil ?
Has anyone tried Critter Oil for fleas and ticks? I am taking my dog to West Virginia in a few weeks and she is on Vectra. Because she is also on Proin, I can not put a tick collar on her. I feel I need more than just Vectra. I was thinking about putting Crittter Oil on her paws and around her neck....

Ugh, Poor Ari
Ari at least isn't feeling unwell, but her poor skin! Within 2 weeks we've had an outbreak of acne (at least that is what they think it is) and one paw she started chewing up front. Went to the vet (1 week ago today) and they said the chin bumps is likely acne, and that the paw was likely an...
