Zipper's going to be a Daddy again!
I'm so very excited! This will be Zipper's first litter with me as legal owner, but he is a seasoned stud dog. His last litter sired was in 2006, three years ago, so I'm very happy there is finally another nice little female for him. The litter is due this weekend, so we're keeping our...

Limping dog
Hi! I am Simon. I have an 8 year old sheltie called Sally. She was perfectly healthy and was used to 10 mile walks over the mountains. One day I took her out with a ball and after running after it very fast and putting her brakes on she came back limping badly on her front leg.. I rested her a few...

Itchy, biting feet
For the life of me I can't remember what this is a sign of. Butch (chihuahua) has been biting at his feet, like they itch. For some reason I remember - could be wrong - that this is specific. Related to what they've eaten or an airborne allergy or something. Does anyone know what I'm...

On watch for epilepsy
One of Luna's litter mates very likely has IE (inherited epilepsy). Luna will be getting spayed ASAP and her breeder is neutering her brother ASAP and placing him. We knew about the first seizure right after it happened a few weeks ago, and have been in touch regularly with the breeder as the...

Hi, folks. I just joined the site today to see if there are others with my concerns. My boy is almost two. He was rescued emaciated and it was soon determined that he had a Chronic Case of Pancreatic Insufficiency. He's been with me for just over a year now and his disease is well managed by using...

Siesures?
Gosh I know I probably spelled that wrong. xD But anyway - - my dog has been having siesures for a long time, but we dont know what causes it. I only just realized now that the siesures started a while after our dalmatian died (like a 2 or 3 years ago), and our dog never had siesures before that. She's...

Torn paw pad
Maze tore a hole in the pad of her front paw. The skin is still attached so it's kinda like a flap of skin. It's not bleeding, or causing her much pain but she is limping. I'm wondering if I should remove the flap of skin and let it heal that way or just leave it be.

could my dog have worms
Last week my dog ate another animal's feces. He got loose and I ran after him and caught him while he was eating what looked like diaherra. I was disgusted and brushed his teeth and put antiseptic on his mouth. Anyway, he has been scooting. My sister mentioned he could have worms. He just had a bowel...

12 yr old Schnauzer & IMHA?
Hi - I'm new here and this is my first post. On Sunday, 9/13 Tyson (my Schnauzer) suddenly started panting and having difficulty breathing. I rushed him to the emergency vet. They immediately tried to give him oxygen and drew blood. Vet said his blood platelet count was 40 and that Tyson showed bruising...

Dangit incision trouble for Ellie
Well not the incision, really...that's looking great, apparently this was there before the section. I never thought to "spread" her udders and look between. But she has some surface sloughing of the skin there, owing to a lot of moisture being trapped in her "cleavage", bucketbathing...

Update- What could this shoulder lump be?? (Chelsea)
So probably two weeks (maybe three, honestly) ago Cherokee started limping. Just a little barely noticeable limp. I couldn't even tell which leg was bothering her, for at least the first week. I thought it was probably a sore on her foot, but I checked them all out and didn't see anything. I...

Can anything in the home be used to help vomitting?
I would love to have a dog that DID NOT have a touchy stomach. Something obviously has set Ari's off, again. I come home to diarreah in the kennel and she's now vomitted throughout the whole house (once in her upstairs kennel, then in the downstairs...I had to let her loose in the house while...

Undercoat Question for Willow
I was just wondering if anyone knows. She went to a new groomer about 3 weeks ago. She's ready to go back. But, I have one thing I've noticed that I had never noticed to this degree with her previous groomer. Her undercoat is coming out in clumps! And, it should be coming back IN at this point...
