And now she's started coughing.. sigh.. (Chelsea)
4:30 am I wake up to Cherokee coughing. Vet told me to expect it, but I guess I didn't think it would be so soon. She had a maybe 2 minute long coughing-fit (which felt like 20 minutes, but yeah, I think it was more like 2), and then we went back to sleep. 6 something she started again, but this...

lump on neck
We just adopted a 17 lbs mixed breed 9-12 month old pup from a shelter last Sunday. She was very quite, skinny and coughing. We took her to our vet monday, and he gave her 2 antibiotic shots and a 2 week course of pills for her cough. She seems to be feeling much better, is active with our 8 year old...

Drontol Plus dewormer
I've looked everywhere and can't find the answer. How long before the drontol works and my dog as to poop? I don't want any surprises in the house or on the carpet.

PPA AND "Leaks no more"?
Our new rescue was on UriFlex-PT, a PPA drug for incontinence. She still dribbles. We're going to keep her on PPA for a week or so to see if it goes away. I've also read about an over the counter product called "Leaks no More" that has raving reviews. I'm wondering if anyone has...

Ear problems
We have a 8yr old Labrador Retriever. He has had ear problems since birth. He can no longer hear and our vet has recommended seeing a specialist to have his ear canals removed. Is this a common practice in dog with ear problems?

Gobie the minpin terror has tonsillitis
He's been wheezin and coughing and breathing quite hard lately so it was time to take old Goober in. He's 13 yrs, 9 months. Turns out his tonsils are quite swollen and infected. So he's on an antinflammatory (must have really made him feel great, he's puppyish again!) and antibx for...

IMHA: RBC Help!
My 4 year old dog has been dealing with IMHA for some time and today we received RBC results that are in a different form than we're used to. (different lab this time) We typically have received them as what I think is a percentage, normal range we were told is around 40-50. Today, however, we received...

Impatiently waiting
After putting it off forever, we've finally purchased a forced air dryer. It takes two of us to keep Aesop on the grooming table at the dog wash, and with our conflicting schedules it's hard to find a time where both of us can go. So, he ends up getting pretty gross before we can get him bathed...

Hip problems?
I have been watching Lex very closely lately and I am starting to fear that he may have some issues with his hips. I first started to notice when I would throw the ball for him, he runs to catch it and then then turns back round to bring it back to me. Right after he turns it almost looks like he does...

9 month old Bulldog puppy very tender and weak rear right leg
First information about the dog. I rescued (Kind of) a 6 month old bulldog puppy. The previous owners couldnt contend with how energy packed as well as the amount of work would be needed to raise such a puppy. I have had him for roughly 3 months, and he is up to date on all shots and vaccinations. Roughly...

Scabs on puppies? HELP!!!
My Chocolate Lab recently had a litter of 8 puppies(Planned). They are currently almost 2 weeks old. About 4/5 days after birth I noticed a dry hard spot on 5 of them just above the base of the tail on their back. It felt and looked like something spilled and dried there. You should also know that Ive...

CoalBunnie
Concerned about worms....
My husband and I recently picked up a stray where he works. She was starving and no one claimed her, so we brought her home... He works at a coal plant and her natural coat is tan, but she was black as coal...lol so we named her Coalbunnie... We have only had her for about a week and a half and she has...

Vomiting bile
Last night and this morning Kes threw up about a tablespoon or two of yellow bile and nothing else. He seems fine otherwise - normal interest in eating/playing, normal poops - but I figured I'd check here to see what all I need to be on the look out for. I have a feeling this is related to switching...

updates on Dublin and his epilepsy
I thought I would give a bit of an update as to where we are at this point. He started 120mg phenobarb daily about five weeks ago. He adjusted very well and actually after a couple weeks resumed near normal activity. We made it four weeks without seizures. I felt relief! His blood work showed he was...

Still No Resolution!
Ugh. Just back from the vet's office again. Still no resolution to Bear's diarrhea issues that have been ongoing for four weeks now. He's now on more droncit, panacur, and a prescription diet (i/d) that we all hate while yet another watery sample makes it's way off to the local state...
